Snow is a young, very handsome golden retriever who is looking for an active and loving family to love him forever. Like so many of the dogs that we help, Snow was found wandering the streets of Turkey in the freezing cold when he was picked up by animal control-- but from the moment we learned about him, we knew without a doubt that Snow was a very special boy.
When he was taken into a local shelter, it was clear that Snow had suffered a tragic injury in his short life on the streets. Sadly, his leg was broken and had begun to calcify. Unfortunately, it was too late to save the leg but Snow has a remarkable spirit and zest for life and has rebounded incredibly quickly from its amputation. In fact, Snow doesn’t seem to know he is any different from his foster sibling-- if anything it only makes him even more special.
In his foster home, Snow has been described as an angel. With his joyful and outgoing demeanor, Snow endears himself to anyone he meets-- human or canine. He loves to play with the other dog in his foster family and appears to ignore cats. He is smart and eager to learn new things now that he is in a safe and loving environment. Snow is also the perfect age for bonding with a new family.
An ideal home for Snow would be an active family who can give him the exercise and training that a young dog needs. Snow is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He is approximately 9 to 11 months old and weighs 55-60 lbs.
