Kyra's Rescue

Liz is a pure breed husky with stunning good looks. She was found by an American visiting the Turkish coastal town of Bodrum, where she had been cruelly abandoned by her former owners, and was trying to survive on the streets by eating scraps and garbage. We’re not sure as to the extent of the cruelty she suffered, but we’re guessing that she was either brutally hit on the head and/or hit by a car, which caused the lens in her gorgeous blue eye to dislocate.  All of the necessary treatments have been provided to her by Kyra’s Rescue and our sponsors, and surgery was used to relieve the pain and pressure she was experiencing in her left eye.  Today she is pain-free, healthy, and is able to see shapes and light through her left eye.  Her right eye is normal and healthy, so she has no limitations with her sight.

We’re delighted to see that Liz has adjusted well, and is healthy and happy now. Despite the cruelty she experienced, we’re pleased to report that Liz has not lost her gentle soul and lady-like personality. Liz is housebroken and her foster mom tells us she barely sheds.  She’s a very loving, gentle, and obedient sweetheart that deserves an adoring, devoted, and happy family.
