Poor Linda has endured unspeakable cruelty in her young life.  We do not know the circumstances of how or when her ears were cut off, but we can only imagine that she suffered greatly.  Her ears are healed and those dark days are behind her, and Linda is finally ready to start her new life in the U.S. Linda is affectionately referred to as "the Wookie" due to her adorable fluffiness!
