Just arrived from Istanbul, Turkey. Sometimes, life does not play fair. About 6 months ago, a litter of puppies was born to an abandoned dog (a Wire Haired Terrier) and we suspect the father may be an Anatolian Shepard. Born on the streets, these pups had no chance at a good life and survival was even questionable. Then luck or fate stepped in and the KR Team heard about these little guys, and we could not leave them in a location where life would be cruel and short. A short time ago, Emma made the trip of a lifetime to America with her brother, Simon. She had to be lifted out of her crate at the airport, but then it seemed like the weight of all her worries just melted off of her. She now approaches life with zeal, and more than anything wants to be loved and cuddled. When her foster family holds her in their laps, she melts into them. She loves chew toys as well as stuffed toys, and a soft bed is a must as she has earned that luxury after such a ruff start. If Emma sounds like a great dog, you are right. She is smart and needs to be kept busy. Her new family must like lap dogs and be willing to give lots of cuddles. She also enjoys rolling in the grass and going for walks. She is a joy to love and she warms the heart. If you have unlimited love to give, Emma will be glad to take every last bit.
