It is with heavy hearts that we share with you news that our wonderful girl Candy passed away last night. When we rescued Candy we noticed she was a bit on the small side but some golden girls can be, especially those who have been on their own, trying to make their way. Still, we wanted to make certain she was a healthy little girl who was getting all the care she needed so we investigated further and Candy underwent additional tests. It was then that we learned she had a heart condition. We pursued treatment, but unfortunately there was nothing that could save her. Candy was a beautiful girl who captured many hearts, not only ours but those of everyone who saw her picture on our website. She is deeply missed.
